Contract - 6 Months

Location (mandatory): Redmond, WA As a Technical Support Lead, you will be a critical member of an internal operations team supporting novel research devices. You’ll ensure that all the dashboarding and telemetry reporting needs of the team are met to enable our ambitious research programs to succeed. You will need a blend of project management and operations acumen to collaborate cross-functionally. To be successful, you will need to navigate conflicting stakeholder requirements, design and build new dashboards to drive operational success, and work within an ambiguous, research-driven environment. Our team consists of varying levels of experiences and backgrounds. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your abilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional data and business teams to define problems, analyze impacts, identify opportunities, and develop solutions that improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Translate business challenges into data-driven problems and design appropriate data science solutions, including metrics and analytics, business intelligence, and experimentation.
  • Utilize expertise in statistics, machine learning, optimization, and automation to develop analytics solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and program/product managers to ensure seamless progress.

Skills:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with advanced SQL in big data environments (e.g., Hive, Presto, Spark) and data modeling.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience analyzing and interpreting data, developing metrics, drawing conclusions, recommending actions, and reporting results across stakeholders.
  • Experience in enhancing data collection procedures, data processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and experimental design NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated experience with data management, data engineering and research devices in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience building medium to large scale systems and services.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with advanced SQL in big data environments (e.g., Hive, Presto, Spark) and data modeling.
  • 2+ years experience analyzing and interpreting data, developing metrics, drawing conclusions, recommending actions, and reporting results across stakeholders.
