Location (mandatory): Lexington, MA Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Activities will include organizing assembly of advanced hardware and software, including ground and space systems and testing from the component to system level; these tests may be mechanical, functional or environmental. Requirements flow down, verification and validation activities and trade studies will also be part of the job, as will developing interfaces and ICDs.
Summary: The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
