Location : Redmond, WA / Sunnyvale, CA The Client brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We operate on strict timelines to ship products at scale. Our products define new categories that advance Client's mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. We seek an Audio Systems Engineer for a temporary assignment in our Audio Experience Team. You will be working on new hardware and software technologies for our consumer electronics products. We are looking for experience in audio data collection, testing, evaluation of electroacoustics and signal processing performance, and audio DSP parameter tuning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, define, and tune real-time audio render systems for forward looking products and user experiences.
  • Evaluate and benchmark product performance. Implement and automate data collection and test setups to bridge the gap between perceptual quality and objective metrics.
  • Learn constantly and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for next generation products and novel user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions and champion best practices for audio render system architecture design on AI glasses product programs.

Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience tuning and testing audio render systems and real-time audio algorithms.
  • 2+ years of experience executing data collection and performance validation for consumer electronics devices and audio algorithms or features such as voice communication and media playback using Soundchecks, Audio Precision, or HEAD Acoustics ACQUA.
  • 2+ years of experience with MATLAB or Python scripting.
  • 2+ years of experience prototyping and demonstrating compelling audio experiences with end-to-end audio systems including acoustics, transducers, and DSP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, present conclusions and recommendations, and contribute to audio workstreams in a dynamic cross functional environment.
