Location (mandatory): Chino, CA ROLE OVERVIEW - Customer Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and testing products, outbound shipments, consolidated pallets and overseeing operations for the Columbia Missouri plant to ensure they meet production standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Performs product and in-process inspection audits using basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators, Symphony drawing specifications, Process Control Plans and Product Quality Control plans.
  •  Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
  •  Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
  •  Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the Continues Improvement teams.

Skills:

  •  Responsible for improving audit plans along with the Quality Engineers and execution documentation detailing preparation, and operation instructions for other inspection personnel.
  •  Review the implementation and efficiency of Quality Controls such as Poka Yokes and Jidokas.
  •  Support capability studies and Perform Gage R&R Studies
  •  Provide tooling and process recommendations to optimize product and in process inspections.
  •  Adopt digital quality tools to optimize identified areas for improvement in the quality system.

Education/Experience:

  •  Experience with basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators.
  •  Interpret blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications for measurement feasibility.
  • Effectively use computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.
  •  High school diploma or GED preferred.
  •  Good written and oral communication skills.
  •  Analytical and problem-solving skills
  •  Attention to detail Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
  •  Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
