Small Description: The Technical Scrum Master leads Agile delivery for a high-impact development team while remaining hands-on in the codebase. This hybrid role balances Scrum facilitation and team coaching with backend development using Java, enabling effective removal of technical impediments, strong engineering practices, and high-quality software delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Actively remove technical and process-related impediments to maintain team velocity
  • Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog and track Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown)
  • Coach the team on Agile best practices, self-organization, and continuous improvement
  • Manage all phases of the SDLC from requirements through deployment and ongoing support
  • Implement and optimize development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and DevOps
  • Oversee quality assurance activities, including unit, integration, and UAT testing
  • Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Lead code reviews, enforce TDD practices, and uphold engineering quality standards
  • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure scalability and long-term alignment

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks with CSM or PSM I/II certification
  • Advanced proficiency in Java (17/21+), Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile tracking and documentation
  • Solid understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing strategies
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and front-end frameworks (React/Angular) is a plus

Education/Experience:

  •   Bachelor’s degree.
