Location : Fort Worth Texas USA 76155 The SME Analyst (Supply Chain) is responsible for identifying and resolving supply chain inefficiencies through data-driven analysis and process improvement initiatives. This role supports aircraft spare parts operations by developing analytical models, reporting tools, and actionable insights that enhance operational performance while maintaining budget compliance. The analyst collaborates cross-functionally and presents strategic recommendations to leadership and operational teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify supply chain inefficiencies and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Develop data-driven solutions including process improvements, reporting dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Build analytical models to optimize aircraft spare parts planning and inventory performance.
  • Design, implement, and monitor performance metrics to measure solution effectiveness.
  • Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable business insights.
  • Develop and maintain data tables, pipelines, and datasets for applications and reporting.
  • Create presentations and deliver findings with recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Line & Base Planning, Network Planning, AOG, and Stores to understand operational workflows.
  • Support team members and business analysts with complex data queries and problem-solving.
  • Manage project backlogs using Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
  • Work directly with users to explain implemented solutions and improve user experience.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, operational airline environment.

Skills:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation/processing languages.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing advanced data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Data Lake environments.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, material planning, supply process, issue process, or returns process.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to develop data models, reporting dashboards, and automated workflows.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
