Contract - 8 months Contract

Consumer Insights Consultant, provides strategic insight leadership to guide Gold Bond’s brand building, innovation pipeline, communications development, and claims strategy. This role designs and executes consumer research, synthesizes findings for senior leadership, and drives agile consumer led decision making for the 2027 innovation roadmap. Work Schedule: M-F 20 hours per week (PT hours, can be slightly more or less depending on business needs)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a rolling Consumer Learning Plan.
  • Prioritize research across innovation, claims, packaging, communications, and renovation.
  • Participate in strategic meetings and translate business needs into insight frameworks.
  • Provide future focused category and consumer POVs (including 2028+ opportunities).
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research supporting 2027 initiatives (Kahuna, Nutrient Bloom, Vanilla Dream).
  • Conduct volumetrics, naming exploration, and comms/claims guidance for innovation pipelines.
  • Provide agile research alternatives as timelines or budgets shift.
  • Support assessment of potential Mist line extension.
  • Identify and coordinate agile research vendors and platforms.
  • Background in consumer insights, brand strategy, CPG, or consumer health.
  • Strong expertise in research design and agile qualitative/quantitative methodologies.
  • Ability to distill complex insights into clear, executive ready recommendations.
  • Experience with volumetrics, naming, claims, and communications testing.
  • Vendor management experience with research and insight platforms.
  • Excellent communication, synthesis, and strategic problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable working flexibly within shifting project timelines and priorities.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 15 years of experience
  • Build templates, claim matrices, and reusable decision frameworks.
  • Maintain an Insight Repository aligned with processes (if applicable).

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience working in Agile environments.
  • Consumer Packaging Experience
  • Background in consumer-packaged goods (CPG)
  • experience with companies like - Previous experience in similar role at: Johnson & Johnson, or L’Oréal is acceptable but not required to be pharma-specific.
  • Minimum of 15 years in relevant roles.
  • Proficiency with databases (iKnow, Demand Landscaping (internal tools), data gathering tools
  • SharePoint reporting, shared systems, and creating presentations (PowerPoint).
  • Consumer Insights Background
  • Especially within beauty or personal care categories.
