Contract - 3 Months

Location: Pensacola, FL 32504 Provides on-site technical support for retail and pharmacy IT equipment, including point-of-sale systems, self-checkout registers, printers, scanners, PCs, thin clients, networking devices, and other related hardware. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment across multiple client locations while ensuring service quality within defined service level agreements. Role requires travel between sites within a designated service area and handling onsite technical issues efficiently. Background/Need: The Field Service Technician will support retail and pharmacy locations by ensuring reliable operation of critical IT and POS systems. The role involves frequent travel between client sites to perform maintenance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and support installation of new equipment. The technician will also assist with high-priority service calls, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday support on a rotating basis. The position requires strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting ability, and the capability to work independently across a wide service area.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Provide onsite technical support for POS systems, printers, scanners, PCs, and related hardware
  •  Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues at retail and pharmacy locations
  •  Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment across multiple sites
  •  Travel between client locations to perform scheduled and emergency service calls
  •  Ensure timely resolution of service tickets within SLA requirements
  •  Support high-severity incidents including after-hours and weekend coverage on rotation
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and repairs
  •  Deliver strong customer service and communicate effectively with store staff

Education/Experience:

  • Trade school/college or equivalent experience — Required
  •  1–3+ years of IT support or field service experience
  •  Experience repairing and upgrading computer systems and peripherals
