location : Groton CT USA 06340 We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Support Engineer to support digital manufacturing systems within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain, enhance, and support manufacturing execution systems, electronic batch records, data collection processes, and manufacturing reporting solutions. The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering mindset with technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. This position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers interested in manufacturing technology, process improvement, and digital transformation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related digital manufacturing platforms.
  • Assist with the management and support of:
  • Electronic Batch Records (EBR)
  • Electronic Logbooks
  • Electronic Forms
  • Manufacturing tracking and workflow systems
  • Support manufacturing data collection and integration from production equipment.
  • Work with data historians and industrial connectivity applications to capture and utilize manufacturing process data.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL queries and database solutions.
  • Utilize Snowflake and other data platforms to analyze and report manufacturing data.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide digital system support across multiple manufacturing groups and projects.
  • Assist with system enhancements, testing, validation support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Learn and support specialized manufacturing software applications used at the site.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities and help resolve system-related issues impacting operations.
