Contract - 6 Months(Possibility of extension)

Location - Hampton, GA Meet the requirements of “Competent Person” as identified by OSHA for all aspects of Schneider Electric BMS installation including low voltage electrical subcontractors. OSHA Competent Person: “one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authorization to take prompt and corrective measures to eliminate them”. Must have current OSHA 30-hour construction course or within the past two years. Must have the knowledge and ability to arrange or conduct safety and health related training if/when knowledge gaps are identified. Review and gain Knowledge of Schneider Electrics site specific training plan as well as other Schneider Electric safety procedures and policies including Electrical Safety, LOTO procedures, Ladder Safety, Working at Heights Safety, and reporting procedures for incidents and near misses. Training and certifications in CPR/First Aid.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the OSHA-designated Competent Person for Schneider Electric BMS installations, including activities involving low-voltage electrical subcontractors.
  • Identify existing and potential workplace hazards and take prompt corrective action to eliminate or control unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and Schneider Electric site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Review and implement safety procedures related to Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Ladder Safety, Working at Heights, and incident/near-miss reporting.
  • Arrange and conduct safety and health training when knowledge or compliance gaps are identified.
  • Support and enforce site-specific safety training requirements for BMS installation activities.
  • Maintain required safety training and certifications, including OSHA 30-Hour Construction and CPR/First Aid
