Location : Fort Myers, FL 33913 The Heavy Maintenance Materials Coordinator provides material support at external heavy maintenance facilities to ensure required aircraft materials and tooling are available on site in a timely manner. This role coordinates with Maintenance, Maintenance Control, Stores, Material Planning, Supplier Management, AOG Desk, and other Technical Operations teams to resolve material constraints and support planned aircraft return-to-service schedules

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with heavy maintenance providers to address aircraft material and tooling requirements
  • Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages that may impact aircraft maintenance schedules
  • Provide Maintenance teams with regular updates on material status for each aircraft
  • Develop and communicate mitigation efforts to address material shortages and constraints
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Stores, Material Planning, Supplier Management, and AOG teams to resolve material issues
  • Oversee the movement of unserviceable aircraft parts to ensure timely shipment to designated repair facilities
  • Monitor and coordinate the return of unused materials to appropriate airline stations
  • Order and coordinate aircraft parts as required to support maintenance activities
  • Review technical documentation to identify and extract aircraft part information
  • Interpret information from Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), Work Cards, and Component Repair Manuals
  • Support maintenance planning activities and material requirements throughout heavy maintenance events
  • Apply knowledge of current aircraft maintenance processes, including MEL and Deferral processes
  • Utilize web-based systems and SCEPTRE to track and manage material requirements
  • Manage multiple material-related tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams and external maintenance providers
  • Identify and resolve material constraints that could affect aircraft return-to-service timelines
  • Perform additional materials coordination duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3 years of experience in an Aircraft Maintenance Planning environment.
  • 3 years of experience in an Aircraft Operational environment preferred.
