Contract - 3 Years

Location : Fairfield, OH The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality within one or more production sectors. Key duties include implementing process control plans, conducting FMEAs and process audits, leading root cause analysis and containment actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves maintaining quality documentation, ensuring compliance with standards, and serving as the local quality expert. The engineer works closely with production teams to minimize risk, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall manufacturing quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the Quality of one or several sectors
  • Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied and consistent with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks in a preventive mode
  • Be the local expert of the traceability system for the manufacturing floor.
  • Lead Process Audits and Process FMEAs
  • Create and maintain quality control documentation, insure related training and application in the sector
  • Lead continuous improvement on its perimeter
  • Lead containment actions, root cause analysis of quality issue and problem solving on his sector
  • Be a member of the Short Interval Management (of the production lines)
  • Provide solutions to increase Customer Satisfaction
  • Provide inputs and challenge about quality for new evolution, contribute to process/control capability implementation.
  • Be the local expert of the assembled products in his sector

Skills:

  • Minimum previous experience, in the functions described, of three years or less
  • Mandatory good level of English.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic)
  • 3 + years’ experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology, tool utilization (i.e., 5Why, fishbone (cause and effect), etc.)
  • Six Sigma knowledge, experience, certification highly desired
  • Experience on ESD desired.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic)
