Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports to NAM Senior Portfolio/Collection Manager.
  • Works independently and manages multiple projects - both short term and ongoing - on a deadline basis.
  • Responsible for Sweet Goods and Beverage applications preparation/ production of bench top and pilot lab prototypes.
  • Ability to make a variety of relevant Sweet Goods and Beverages prototypes throughout the evaluation process.
  • Conducts collection evaluations.
  • Maintain current applications formulations, raw materials and quality specifications using current computer systems.
  • Application of flavors and evaluation in various Sweet Goods and Beverage products.
  • Maintains and applies good laboratory practices Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/food science/food technology or related science is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in flavor applications or food product development is a plus.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledge of commercial food or beverage processing, sensory testing, and use of functional ingredients is a plus.
  • Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and individually with minimal oversight.
  • Proficient in MS Office with fluency in English language - both written and verbal.
