Contract - 06 Months (Possibilities of Contract Extension)

Location (mandatory): Reston VA 20190 As an Employee Relations (ER) Professional, you will play a critical role in maintaining a fair and respectful workplace in alignment with Client's Vision, Values, and Commitments (VV&Cs). You will manage employment-related investigations, provide ER guidance, and collaborate cross-functionally across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex employment-related investigations end-to-end including intake meetings, research, interviews, reporting, corrective actions, and debriefing.
  • Investigate policy violations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and inappropriate behavior.
  • Provide coaching and advice to management on various ER matters including performance management, workforce reductions, and mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with ER Communities of Expertise, Legal, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Security, and business units.
  • Facilitate ER training and participate in ER-led projects.
  • Analyze ER data to identify trends and improve the employee experience.
  • Support and deliver workforce reduction processes in coordination with HR and Project Management.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills:

  • Experience in conducting legally defensible workplace investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and ER best practices.
  • High discretion, ethical judgment, and ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Skilled in advising all levels of leadership.
  • Proficient in electronic case management systems.
  • Cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Empathetic approach with strong feedback and conversation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret ER data to provide actionable insights.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Formal training and/or certification in investigations preferred.
