Location : Fort Worth Texas Join the Digital Customer Experience team as a Sr. UX Researcher. This role is designed for an experienced researcher who is passionate about user-centered design and has hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. As part of a multidisciplinary UX team, you’ll be instrumental in guiding product design decisions based on deep user insights. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and advocate for the user experience throughout the product development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product Owners, Designers, and stakeholders to understand business challenges and advocate for user-centered design. Contribute research strategies that align with product objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Conduct Qualitative Research: Perform qualitative research using methods like moderated usability tests, heuristic evaluations, user interviews, contextual inquiries, and competitive analysis to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Conduct Quantitative Research: Leverage quantitative research methods such as surveys, clickstream analysis, eye-tracking studies, card sorting, tree testing, and unmoderated usability tests to validate design decisions and measure metrics such as ease-of-use, comprehension, and satisfaction.
  • Insights and Reporting: Effectively present actionable insights to product teams, using research findings to drive design decisions and improve user experience.
  • Personas & Journey Mapping: Create, update, and advocate for personas, customer journey maps, and service blueprints to help teams stay focused on customer needs.
  • Analyze Data: Utilize analytical tools such as Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, and other data sources to complement research findings and track key product performance metrics.
  • Scale UX Research: Build research infrastructure and educate teams on best practices. Contribute to Research Ops to streamline processes and increase research efficiency across the organization.
  • Advocate for Discovery & Evaluation: Lead discovery and evaluative research to uncover insights before development begins, ensuring designs are grounded in real user needs.
  • Field Research & Feedback: Review customer feedback regularly and use UX metrics to proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use of Research Tools: Utilize specialized tools like eye-tracking equipment, remote testing platforms (e.g., UserZoom, UserTesting), and participant recruitment resources to gather data for your research.

Skills:

  • Research Methods: Strong experience with both qualitative (e.g., user interviews, usability testing) and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, clickstream analysis, eye-tracking).
  • Analytical Tools: Proficient with tools like SPSS, R, SQL, and data visualization tools to analyze complex data sets and generate meaningful insights.
  • Remote Testing Tools: Familiarity with remote unmoderated testing tools like UserZoom, UserTesting, Userlytics, etc., for gathering user feedback in diverse environments.
  • Design Tools: Familiar with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Zeplin, Flinto, Sketch, and Adobe CC.
  • UX Metrics: Experience with UX performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, ease-of-use, and comprehension, and the ability to integrate data insights into product design.
  • Eye-Tracking Tools: Experience using eye-tracking hardware and software for studying visual attention and user behavior.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and convincingly to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams, and effectively advocate for user-centered research practices.
