Contract - 6 months

Location (mandatory): Morrisville, NC 27560 Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for performing dimensional inspections and quality checks on the production part approval process (PPAP), production parts with quality issues, and other inspection requests to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production, NPI, and continuous improvement by providing accurate inspection data and timely feedback to stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other inspection equipment to perform dimensional inspections
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to ensure product conformance
  • Document inspection results clearly and accurately in inspection reports and quality systems
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances to Quality and Engineering teams
  • Support root cause analysis by providing inspection data and measurement insight
  • Maintain calibration status and proper use of measurement equipment
  • Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements
  • Support audits, NPI builds, and special inspection requests as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or CMM operation in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
