Location (mandatory): Ocala Florida 34480 The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues, performing preventive maintenance, and following established maintenance schedules. The technician supports fabrication and welding tasks, manages MRO spare parts, and maintains accurate maintenance records. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, PLC troubleshooting and programming skills, and effective communication abilities. The Maintenance Technician works independently and collaboratively, complies with safety and environmental regulations, assists senior technicians when required, and performs additional assigned duties to support operational reliability across manufacturing production environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues on production equipment and machinery efficiently safely.
  • Follow established maintenance plans and schedules for all assigned production equipment and machinery consistently accurately.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend overall equipment operational life reliability consistently.
  • Fabricate and weld components as required to support equipment repairs and operational needs safely efficiently.
  • Order, track, and manage spare parts and supplies required for MRO activities accurately timely documented.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, repairs, and completed preventive maintenance tasks consistently properly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while assisting senior maintenance technicians as needed appropriately.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and mechanical systems within industrial production environments effectively independently.
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices supporting equipment uptime, efficiency, and extended operational lifespan requirements consistently.
  • Working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques used for equipment repair and component modification tasks.
  • Competence in managing MRO parts, supplies, inventory ordering, tracking, and usage documentation processes accurately efficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation accurately without errors consistently.
  • Effective communication skills supporting coordination with teams, senior technicians, and operational stakeholders during maintenance activities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting safety, environmental, and operational expectations standards consistently.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED with technical training or certification in electrical, mechanical fields related.
  • Minimum two years industrial maintenance experience supporting production equipment, machinery, and facility operations requirements consistently.
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting within industrial manufacturing environments using production equipment systems.
  • Strong electrical knowledge with mechanical, welding, and fabrication exposure in maintenance environments supporting equipment reliability.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation accurately consistently independently.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in maintenance operations environments effectively.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, work overtime, and comply with PPE and safety standards policies.
