The Accountant Level 3 (Expatriate Tax Accountant) supports the organization’s global mobility and expatriate tax program by managing tax-related inquiries, metrics, and administrative processes for employees on international assignments. This role focuses on expatriate tax compliance, compensation analysis, payroll coordination, and tax equalization settlements, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax inquiries from global mobility teams, expatriates, and business units
  • Administer expatriate tax operations, including tracking metrics, databases, and reporting
  • Explain expatriate tax equalization policies and procedures to employees and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external tax assistance firms to complete tax equalization settlements
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in compensation and tax-related data
  • Accurately calculate, reconcile, and record payments and amounts owed
  • Maintain individual employee tax and financial records
  • Prepare and update monthly metrics and financial reports using Excel
  • Analyze large volumes of compensation and payroll data
  • Process vendor invoices and monitor payment statuses
  • Provide high-quality customer service to expatriates regarding U.S. and foreign tax matters
  • Collaborate within a team environment to support tax compliance and planning operations
  • Handle repetitive, detail-oriented tasks to completion while meeting deadlines
