Location : Fort Worth TX Small Description: The Project Manager – Facility Maintenance Transition will lead the full transition of facility maintenance responsibilities to the airport authority, ensuring a smooth transfer of processes, scope, and operational knowledge. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination to manage stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure continuity of facility operations throughout the transition period.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive transition roadmap that outlines project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Conduct strategic planning sessions to align stakeholder goals, operational requirements, and transition milestones.
  • Serve as primary liaison between internal teams, contractors, and airport authorities to maintain clear and consistent communication.
  • Drive change management initiatives to support workforce alignment, process adoption, and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Identify and evaluate project risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation and contingency plans to maintain project stability.
  • Oversee project execution, track performance metrics, and deliver regular status reports to leadership.
  • Ensure transition activities adhere to established scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure readiness, operational continuity, and compliance with airport guidelines.
  • Support documentation efforts including process handover materials, operational procedures, and transition reports.

  • Project Management: Expertise in project planning, scheduling, risk management, scope control, and performance tracking.
  • Change Management: Experience leading organizational transitions, workforce integration, and process alignment.
  • Facilities & Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of facility maintenance operations, airport environments, and regulatory considerations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to communicate with executives, internal teams, contractors, and airport representatives.
  • Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and familiarity with PMI/PRINCE2 frameworks.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Strong skills in preparing status reports, transition documentation, operational procedures, and communication materials.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess operational impacts, prioritize tasks, and develop actionable solutions.
