Contract - 12 months Contract

This position for employment is in the Andover Quality Control Microbiology Laboratory working first shift supporting Laboratory operations Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and holiday coverage. The candidate should be flexible to support both assays performed in the Laboratory, as well as office-based work as needed to support the business. Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements Some rotational weekend and Holiday coverage is required to support the commercial manufacturing schedule. Adhere to safe work practices and procedures, including aseptic gowning procedures

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for performing a variety of microbiological assays in support of routine testing for commercial raw materials, production intermediate and bulk samples, finished product, and process & cleaning validation samples.
  • Testing includes but is not limited to fundamental and advanced testing formats for the following areas of testing: Bioburden, Endotoxin, Biological Indicators, PCR, and Microbial Identification. The incumbent may also have some responsibilities assisting with instrument validations and other special projects, as well as assisting with training of new group members, authoring SOP revisions and participating in investigation writing.
  • The incumbent must have the ability to interpret and document test results according to standard operating procedures and Data Integrity principles using all standard Quality systems, and have experience working in a cGLP setting.

Skills:

  • The desired candidate must have the ability to perform laboratory and office work which includes walking, standing, and sitting throughout a shift
  • Candidate must have the ability to effectively manipulate laboratory testing apparatus
  • Candidate must have the ability to read, comprehend and follow procedures
