Location (mandatory): Washington DC. Small Description: A Senior Instructional Designer at develops, designs, and implements comprehensive training programs for a large organization, focusing on classroom management, curriculum creation, and eLearning (e.g., Articulate/Captivate).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum & Content Creation: Develop engaging learning activities and, courses, simulations, and job aids that enhance retention.
  • SME Collaboration: Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify target audience training needs and define instructional goals.
  • Technology Integration: Design computer-based training (CBT) modules and utilize eLearning software.
  • Evaluation: Create assessment instruments and criteria to judge learner performance.
  • Project Management: Assist training management in establishing department goals, cost estimates, and budget management for training projects.
  • Training Facilitation: Provides functional supervision in training environments and assists in training delivery

Skills:

  • 4-7 years of related industry experience, including at least 2 years of instructional design, or 6-9 years of training experience.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education/training, Organizational Development, or Psychology.
