Contract - 3+ years contract

Location: Onsite at Lexington, MA 02421 Responsible for developing and maintaining an Information System (IS) security program and associated policies for assigned systems. This role includes overseeing operational security implementation, monitoring system vulnerabilities and threats, and ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and functioning correctly. The ISSO will conduct security assessments, manage system security documentation, and ensure adherence to established cybersecurity standards and procedures. Other: Clearance: Active TS with SCI eligibility required; CI Polygraph may be required Work Type: 100% onsite Work Schedule: Flexible schedules (9/80 or 4/10 options) Interview Process: Initial phone screening followed by panel interview via Zoom Work Environment: Secure facility supporting classified programs

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and maintain IS security policies, procedures, and documentation
  •  Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and security incidents
  •  Conduct security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
  •  Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and system authorization processes
  •  Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and POA&Ms
  •  Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards and security requirements
  •  Perform vulnerability scanning, configuration assessments, and remediation
  •  Track and manage audit findings and ensure mitigation actions are completed
  •  Support continuous monitoring and security control implementation
  •  Collaborate with stakeholders including ISSM and program managers
  •  Provide incident reports, risk analysis, and security documentation
  • Promote security awareness and best practices across teams
