Location : San Diego, CA 92121 Software Developer (SDET) supports the V&V (Verification and Validation) team by developing automation tools and test frameworks for medical device software systems. The role focuses on building API and UI automation solutions, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring software quality in a regulated diagnostics environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation software for verification and validation of medical device systems
  • Design, build, and execute API and UI automation frameworks
  • Write clean, scalable code using C#, C++, WPF, and .NET technologies
  • Collaborate with V&V and R&D teams to define software requirements and specifications
  • Enhance and refactor existing automation code to improve performance and maintainability
  • Perform root cause analysis and support defect resolution
  • Work independently on assigned automation projects with minimal supervision
  • Support test strategy execution and improve software testing efficiency
  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting of software issues
  • Maintain and update tools used by the SW V&V team
  • Ensure compliance with software quality standards in a regulated medical environment

Skills:

  • 2–6 years of experience in software development or SDET roles
  • Strong proficiency in C# (mandatory), C++, and WPF
  • Experience in API automation and UI automation development
  • Strong understanding of .NET framework and Windows-based development
  • Experience with SQL and data handling
  • Knowledge of multithreaded UI development
  • Experience in test automation frameworks and software validation
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exposure to medical device or regulated software environments is a plus

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required
