Location : Richland, WA The Senior Implementation Manager provides technical expertise, governance, oversight, and project support for high-risk enterprise projects within a nuclear power generation environment. This role partners with Project Managers to ensure project execution is safe, efficient, cost-effective, and completed on schedule. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nuclear plant operations, outage management, maintenance execution, regulatory compliance, and project implementation strategies. This position serves as a subject matter expert responsible for improving project quality, reducing risks, and enhancing execution performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Review project strategies, schedules, and implementation plans to identify opportunities for improved quality, efficiency, and schedule performance
  •  Evaluate project documentation including schedules, risk registers, work orders, testing plans, budgets, and resource plans
  •  Validate work order task quality and ensure compliance with established maintenance and work management processes
  •  Identify and correct procedural errors, inaccurate references, and execution risks prior to field implementation
  •  Review and improve testing, commissioning, acceptance, and validation plans
  •  Identify project activities requiring mock-ups and provide guidance on effective implementation strategies
  •  Provide industry operating experience insights and develop mitigation strategies for potential project risks
  •  Serve as ASME PIC for Section XI Repair and Replacement activities when required
  •  Maintain expertise in applicable codes, standards, technologies, and industry best practices
  •  Provide technical oversight and governance throughout project execution
  •  Deliver candid assessments and recommendations to project leadership and management teams
  • Monitor field and shop activities to ensure alignment with approved project strategies
  •  Support project execution during off-shift operations and provide leadership when required
  •  Coordinate internal and external resources to remove project roadblocks and support execution objectives
  •  Participate in project readiness reviews, risk management meetings, design reviews, and implementation planning sessions

Skills:

  •  Extensive experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations
  •  Strong knowledge of refueling outage planning and execution
  •  Expertise with Enterprise Asset Management systems such as Asset Suite and SAP
  •  Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling tools
  •  Deep understanding of ASME Section XI repair and replacement requirements
  •  Knowledge of nuclear maintenance, engineering, and operational procedures
  •  Experience with logic-driven project schedules and critical path management
  •  Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards
  •  Expertise in risk management and project implementation strategies
  •  Knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement methodologies
  •  Experience with rigging, material handling, welding, and field execution practices
  •  Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
  •  Advanced computer and technical documentation review skills

Education/Experience:

  •  Advanced degree in Engineering, Technical Field, Business, or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant electrical experience in nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environments
  •  OR Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant electrical experience
  •  OR Associate degree with 14+ years of relevant electrical experience
  •  OR High School Diploma/GED with 16+ years of relevant electrical experience
  •  Extensive experience supporting maintenance, engineering, and project execution activities in nuclear power generation environments
  •  Experience participating in multiple nuclear refueling outages required
  •  Strong understanding of nuclear operations, maintenance processes, and regulatory requirements
  •  Experience with enterprise project execution, risk mitigation, and governance activities
  •  Ability to oversee large field teams and complex project activities
  •  U.S. Citizenship required
  •  Per Diem available
