Orlando Florida Support enterprise IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives by planning, coordinating, executing, and validating recovery strategies for critical technology services. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, developing and maintaining IT DR plans, leading multi-site recovery exercises, identifying and resolving complex disaster recovery issues, and communicating risks, findings, and corrective actions to technical teams and senior leadership. The position works closely with IT Infrastructure, Applications, Integration, Governance, and other cross-functional organizations to ensure recovery plans remain feasible, current, and effective.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the planning, organization, coordination, and control of scheduled IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze relevant facts, data, and technical information to support project decisions and recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate and integrate enterprise IT Disaster Recovery activities to ensure seamless execution across multiple teams and locations.
  • Maintain accountability for compliance with corporate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policies and requirements.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain IT Disaster Recovery plans for critical services and systems.
  • Ensure recovery plans meet time-sensitive requirements and are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Design and update recovery strategies to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of recovering critical IT services.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Applications, Integration, Governance, Systems Administration, Engineering, and Testing organizations.
  • Lead IT Disaster Recovery exercise sessions involving multi-site teams.
  • Plan and facilitate recovery exercises to test, validate, and improve disaster recovery procedures.
  • Document exercise results, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Analyze complex IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity issues and develop appropriate resolutions.
  • Support incident management activities, including problem identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and follow-up.
  • Identify disaster recovery risks, dependencies, gaps, and potential impacts to critical business services.
  • Ensure IT DR activities align with applicable corporate policies, regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and business continuity objectives.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate deliverables with internal stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, action items, risks, and corrective actions through completion.
  • Communicate IT DR issues, risks, findings, and corrective actions to team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Present recommendations and recovery strategies to senior management as required.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery events and crisis response activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT DR plans, exercises, recovery procedures, and compliance activities.
  • Manage multiple initiatives and priorities while ensuring deadlines and recovery requirements are met.

Education/Experience:

  • IT infrastructure experience with operating systems, networking, and storage solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in IT operations with a strong understanding of technical systems and processes.
  • Experience with IT Disaster Recovery planning and exercise development preferred.
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles, including risk management and compliance.
  • Experience supporting Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery events or corporate crisis management preferred.
  • Knowledge of incident management, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolution techniques.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, Microsoft Office, and project management software preferred.
  • Familiarity with Systems Administration, Engineering, and Testing principles and practices preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work remotely while maintaining a minimum 50-mile proximity to a major facility.
