Contract - 12 Months

Location : Newark, DE 19702. The Inventory Control Clerk I will support daily inventory management activities, including cycle counts, inventory discrepancy investigations, inventory aging, and ERP transactions. The role requires strong attention to detail, material handling equipment experience, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated warehouse environment while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute the cycle count program and perform inventory counts and research to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory aging, lot information, and expiration dates.
  • Run reports, track inventory metrics, and compile information for the Warehouse department.
  • Collaborate with Material Handling and Manufacturing teams on ERP transactions, material identification, quantity verification, and put-away locations.
  • Support internal and external audits by explaining inventory documentation and processes.
  • Perform data entry and prepare required inventory documentation.
  • Support warehouse space optimization and capacity improvement initiatives.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas.
  • Complete housekeeping and area organization audits.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, SOPs, quality standards, and documentation practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean initiatives, training, and team activities.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Work flexible hours, shifts, and overtime, including weekends, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills:

  • Inventory control and warehouse operations experience.
  • Strong cycle counting and inventory reconciliation skills.
  • Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and determining root causes.
  • Expertise with material handling and powered warehouse equipment.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and MRP systems.
  • Oracle experience preferred and can be learned on the job.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Agile is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in an FDA-controlled or regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of safety, PPE, SOP, ISO, and Good Documentation Practices.

Education/Experience:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of related inventory control or warehouse experience preferred; experience in an FDA-controlled environment is preferred.
