The Group seeks an experienced cable engineer with a background in EE, selection of cable components, wiring diagrams and cable fabrication processes. This engineer will work on a variety of short duration (6-18 month) projects to provide complex and innovative solutions for a number of sensor systems. This engineer must be capable of working well in teams consisting of Subject Matter Experts across many different fields. • The Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the nation’s missile defense system. This system is currently being developed, to defend the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks. This group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are building the missile defense elements and components. The group has a need for a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to support the analysis of future system requirements. The engineer will manage, develop, update and run system models and simulation tools to evaluate missile defense system performance and support algorithm development. Others: • Education: MS degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM field. • The Group specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on tactical mobile, military airborne networks of the future. The Group uses a combination of technical analysis, modeling, simulation, emulation, prototype development, and flight evaluation to develop new communication systems and evaluate and predict their performance under expected conditions. • Travel is estimated to be 1-2 trips per year, for approx. 15 days, to sponsor sites (domestic). • Candidate can be expected to be onsite for a minimum of 3 days/wk.
