Contract - 06 Months + (Potential Contract to Permanent)

This position involves engineering and project administration responsibilities related to circuit breaker product families. It is desirable to have knowledge in GD&T. The role includes design support, problem-solving, and validation test plan execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families.
  • Perform engineering analysis, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience applying basic engineering principles.
  • Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements (UL, CSA).
  • Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions.
  • Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production.
  • Support design activities, such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience with basic machine design.
  • Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes.
  • Develop and execute component and/or product validation test plans along with acceptance criteria.
  • Direct tasks of mechanical designers, technicians, and other resources.
  • Analyze safety risks and develop mitigation plans using FMEA and FTA techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of user documentation such as instruction bulletins, safety labels, and product markings.
