Contract - 06 Months (Possibilities of Contract Extension)

The Process Engineer III will provide manufacturing support, lead projects involving equipment changes and process improvements, and ensure proper documentation and compliance within the biotech or fluid processing/manufacturing industry

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Support resolution of major equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.
  • Provide SME support to Manufacturing and other departments for the design and operation of process equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes including PI data analyses, CIP/SIP circuit review, MOC analyses, flow path analyses, etc.
  • Planning and execution of plant projects involving equipment changes and process improvements.
  • Execute commissioning protocols (installation, operation, CIP/SIP, wet testing) with support and guidance from supervisor.
  • Review/revise Engineering and Manufacturing related SOP’s, work instructions, and maintenance assessments/procedures as a result of CAPA, equipment/process changes, error prevention activities, etc.
  • Complete engineering review/approval of batch records.
  • Initiate EDCRs for updates to Engineering documents including engineering drawings.
  • Author commissioning protocols (installation, operation, CIP/SIP, wet testing).
  • Changes driven through WorkFront.
  • Own or Influence Changes driven through change controls.
  • CAPEX Project Support
  • Submit Lump Sum Funding Request.
  • Coordinate Install Outside Piping Contractor.
  • Refine Mechanical and Automation Scope.
  • Submit funding request.
  • Draft and Own Change Request.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Design with piping contractor.
  • Coordinate Automation Changes with Site Automation and Automation Contractor(s).
  • Maintain Scope Schedule & Budget.
  • Refine Mechanical.
  • Submit funding request.
  • Draft and Own Change Request.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Design with piping contractor.
  • Coordinate Automation Changes with Site Automation and Automation Contractor(s).

  • Define Scope to remove EM conflict associated with WFI, Caustic, and Salt with associated downstream equipment.
  • Propose Mechanical Modifications (Valving) as required.
  • Submit funding request.
  • Coordinate Automation Changes with Site Automation and Automation Contractor(s).
  • Maintain Scope Schedule & Budget.
  • Coordinate Install of new VRF Skid with Piping Contractor.
  • Support Commissioning (process and cleaning) of new skid.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment in the biotech or fluid processing industry.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and technical analysis.
  • Experience in project management and execution.
  • Familiarity with documentation and compliance standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Years of Experience: 3-7 years.
  • Industry Experience: Biotech or Fluid Processing/Manufacturing.
  • Education: B.S Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

The Group develops, builds, tests, and operates laser communications systems for a variety of applications and environments. Lasercom offers dramatically increased data rates and enhanced physical security relative to standard radio frequency-based communications systems.
