Contract - 6 Months

Location: Smithfield, RI 02917 Work Mode: Onsite – 4 to 5 days/week in office This position supports multiple technology rollout projects by handling inbound and outbound calls to field technicians, vendors, and contractors. Provides first-level technical support, performs system validation, and maintains accurate records of call activity and project status. Requires flexibility with shift timings based on project demands across time zones. Ideal candidates will have basic IT hardware knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask across concurrent technical projects. Paid training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take and make calls to vendors, contractors, and field technicians implementing technology in retail stores (not a consumer call center).
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting support for hardware implementations and project execution issues.
  • Update tracking applications and perform system validations during and after calls.
  • Provide updates via email and Excel when not handling live calls.
  • Handle multiple ongoing technical rollout projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibly adapt to changing shift times based on project schedules (including evening, night, and different time zones).
  • Attend 5 days of paid onsite training (shifts vary between 8 AM – 8 PM).
  • Use provided project handbooks and access necessary systems after training. ;

Skills:

  • Willing to consider candidates with general IT hardware or technical rollout support experience.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • IT hardware installation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience.
  • Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
