Contract - 12 Months

Location : Fort Worth, Texas This is a contract-based role for a Sr. Product Designer who will be part of the Digital Customer Experience team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to design user-centered solutions that will impact customer and employee-facing applications. The role requires 3 days onsite (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday and Friday).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and Influence: Work closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to implement user experience (UX) solutions based on agile methodologies. Influence product and design decisions with UX best practices.
  • Design Creation: Lead the creation of wireframes, visual mockups, prototypes, and interaction flows for both mobile and desktop platforms, ensuring adherence to design standards.
  • Research and Testing: Conduct usability research using techniques such as heuristic reviews, user interviews, and usability testing (both moderated and unmoderated) to optimize user experience. Analyze and present feedback for iterative design improvements.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior designers and contribute to a collaborative environment, fostering design growth across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across multiple teams (e.g., engineering, product management) and geographical boundaries to ensure the design process aligns with project goals and timelines.
  • Agile Development: Manage multiple concurrent projects, track progress using tools like Jira, Aha!, and Rally, and present status updates clearly to stakeholders.
  • Accessibility and Standards: Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0+ AA compliance) and are inclusive for diverse user needs.
  • Design Systems: Contribute to and adopt design systems that maintain consistency and scalability across applications.

Skills:

  • Design Tools: Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools, primarily Figma (Adobe CC is a plus).
  • UX Research: Skilled in conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design decisions.
  • Front-End Knowledge: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with development teams and implement design solutions.
  • Design for Mobile & Web: Experience designing for iOS, Android, and web applications, ensuring responsive and adaptive design solutions.
  • Accessibility: Knowledge of WCAG 2.0+ standards and ensuring accessible designs that meet diverse user needs.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Rally, and Aha! for tracking tasks, managing workflows, and providing progress updates.
  • Storytelling & Presentation: Ability to communicate design decisions effectively using strong storytelling and presentation skills to persuade stakeholders.
