Contract - 12 Months

Location : San Diego, CA 92121 Material Handler I supports warehouse and manufacturing operations in a regulated medical device environment. The role focuses on inbound receiving, inventory control, material movement, and delivery of temperature-sensitive materials to production areas while following strict SOPs and quality compliance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials (FedEx/UPS and other shipments) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Move, stage, and deliver raw materials, WIP, and production supplies across warehouse and production areas
  • Support inventory management including cycle counts, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, system transactions, and documentation using ERP/scanning tools
  • Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials across refrigerated, frozen, and deep-freeze zones
  • Operate warehouse equipment including manual/motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, electric carts, and other PIT equipment (training provided)
  • Follow all FDA-regulated SOPs, safety guidelines, and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Receiving teams
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse work areas
  • Lift, carry, and move materials up to 40 lbs as required
  • Perform other related warehouse and material handling duties as assigned

Skills:

  • 0–1+ years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments (medical device/diagnostics preferred)
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and ERP tools (Oracle preferred)
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn PIT equipment (forklift, pallet jack, order picker, etc.)
  • Experience working in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments is a plus
  • Basic computer literacy (scanning devices, Outlook, Teams, system transactions)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs strictly

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
