We are seeking candidates with experience in managing a caseload of first-party property claims across various home types, including traditional homes, mobile homes, and condominiums, within a standard authority limit. Responsibilities include making coverage decisions, assessing and valuing damages, and interacting with policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, and other third parties throughout the claims management process. Candidates must adhere to state compliance requirements and company guidelines for claims handling.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage an inventory of property claims, evaluating coverage and assessing damages accurately.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on the facts of loss, policy terms, best practices, regulatory requirements, and state laws.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to confirm coverage and determine the extent of damages to indemnify policyholders.
  • Assess policy coverage and communicate any issues to the insured; establish and recommend appropriate reserve levels for indemnity and expenses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure efficient claim resolution.
  • Review estimates and supplements to negotiate and settle payments with insureds and vendors.
  • Demonstrate strong empathy and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
  • Apply knowledge of insurance policies, Xactimate, and general claims handling procedures.
  • Work independently as a self-starter, showing adaptability and the ability to manage tasks autonomously

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property claims or related P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance
  • Active Adjuster’s License required in all applicable states
