Assists in the provision and analysis of product and customer data under the direction of more senior category analysts and managers. Typically requires strong numerical and analytical skills, along with commercial awareness. Assists in the analysis of financial trends involving sales, wastage, profit margins, pricing, and promotion trends. Assists in the analysis of customer trends such as customer segmentation, destination departments, demographics, and market share. Assists in the analysis of product and market trends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 40% Submit merchant sku set-up information from vendors and make sure that assigned part numbers are visible to the different teams to order/sell/purchase
  • 10% Coordinate the collection and routing of vendor contracts.
  • 10% Compile financial and operational reports and other complex documents
  • 10% Track and report monthly promotional results
  • 10% Submit all cost/retail price changes to appropriate pricing group
  • 5% Assist Merchandise Manager as necessary in line review process
  • 5% Submit merchandise callbacks for stores, DCs and vendors
  • 5% Coordinate collection of advertising submissions and off-shelf promotions submitted by Merchants, prepare for monthly marketing presentation meetings
  • 5% Coordinate sample collection for planograms and advertising review
  • 5% Schedule and arrange vendor meetings with merchandising staff.

Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, Outlook and the ability to learn other software programs as required

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher education, 1-year minimum experience in managing projects or related tasks, strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, Outlook and the ability to learn other software programs as required
